The lists above come from the supplier catalogue rather than from a marketing department. Below is how to read them and why the numbers differ so much between products.
Why 220 countries and 50 countries are not a contradiction
These are two different kinds of stock, and confusing them is expensive.
Residential reaches over two hundred countries because these are home connection addresses and that covers most of the populated world. No separate stock is held for it: an address is issued from the shared pool on your request.
Static means specific addresses assigned to you for a term. They cannot be conjured anywhere: they physically sit in particular datacenters and with particular providers, so the list is shorter and more honest. Forty-one countries with datacenter addresses, twenty-four with ISP, twenty-six with mobile.
The fifty countries that have their own pages are the union of those three static lists. If a country is not in them, there is no static stock there, and support cannot find any.
One gateway and separate ports
Connecting differs by product, and this is the only place where two variants have to be kept in mind.
Rotation and sticky sessions go to proxy.sotaproxy.com on port 10000. Country, city, session and lifetime are suffixes on the login, so moving between countries changes nothing except one string.
Static addresses arrive as an IP from your dashboard: port 50100 for HTTP and 50101 for SOCKS5. They take no suffixes at all, because the country of such an address is already fixed by the address itself.
Checking that you got what you paid for
It takes under a minute and is worth doing on every new order.
Run ipinfo through the exit and compare the country and the network against what you ordered. For mobile, check that the network belongs to a carrier rather than to hosting. For static, confirm the address matches the one issued in your dashboard.
If you requested a city, check the region in the response rather than only the country: a city request quietly falls back to country level when no addresses are available there, and you want to see that in your logs rather than discover it in your data a month later.
About coverage
Why does residential cover more countries than static?
They are different things. Residential is issued from a shared pool of home connections, while static means addresses assigned to you in specific datacenters and with specific providers.
Can I order a country that is not on the list?
Not for static. The list comes from the supplier catalogue, and a country missing from it means there are no addresses there.
How does port 10000 differ from 50100?
The first is the gateway with rotation and login suffixes; the second is a specific static address whose country is already fixed.
What if a city request did not work?
Check the region in the response. With no addresses in that city the request falls back to country level, and that belongs in your logs.
