Czechia is one of the few countries in Europe where search does not reduce to Google: the local engine Seznam holds a real share, with its own results and its own advertising. For monitoring that means two passes instead of one, and the second pass cannot be run without a Czech address at all.

Connection strings for Czechia
The country code is CZ, upper case. The city goes after it with _city_, hyphens instead of spaces, in the order country, city, session, lifetime.
Czech static addresses, both ISP and datacenter, take no suffixes: the host is the IP from your dashboard, port 50100, SOCKS5 on 50101.

The main thing that separates Czechia from its neighbours, and it changes how much work a job is.
Seznam is not a leftover but a working search engine with its own index, its own advertising network and its own maps. Its share is smaller than Google’s, but large enough that positions there move traffic. Anyone collecting only google.cz is seeing roughly half the picture.
The practice is simple: two passes, two sets of positions, two reports. Averaging them into one number is meaningless, because the algorithms differ and the same page can sit at the top of one and on the second screen of the other.
The address part matters like this. Google will hand you Czech results on request parameters alone, badly but it will. Seznam is built around the country, and collecting it from abroad is pointless: you get something other than what a user in Prague sees. A Czech address here is not an accuracy improvement but a precondition.
Advertising in Sklik, the Seznam network, follows the same rule: without a Czech address you simply do not see it.
What an ISP address buys you here
Czechia is one of the countries where all three types are available, and ISP gets chosen more often than you might expect.
An ISP address is registered to a consumer provider while sitting on datacenter hardware. To a site it looks residential and passes where a datacenter range gets a 403. To you it is static: the same address for the whole term, dedicated, no neighbours.
The choice against residential is arithmetic rather than taste. Residential bills gigabytes and rotates; ISP costs $1.90 per address per month and does not meter traffic. If the session is long and the volume is large, ISP pays for itself within days. If you need a spread of addresses, no ISP plan gives you that: you have exactly as many as you bought.
Hence the usual split: wide-coverage collection on residential, and anything that has to live on one address for weeks on ISP.
What actually blocks you on Czech targets
The familiar Central European split.
Retail chains and classifieds platforms filter hosting ranges: expect a 403 from datacenter, then choose between residential and ISP.
Publishers and government sites serve datacenter addresses normally.
Seznam returns results to datacenter addresses too, but you only get Czech results from a Czech exit, so the question here is the country rather than a block.
Google rate limits per address: more addresses rather than a different type.
Which exits you get here, and how stable they are
The Czech pool in practical terms.
The pool is mid-sized by European standards and noticeably Prague-weighted: the capital outweighs everything else, and a country-level request usually lands there.
Line quality is good and even, response times from Western Europe are predictable, and from Germany particularly short.
Brno and Ostrava are requested less often but do resolve: this is not one of those countries where anything outside the capital falls over.
Sticky sessions behave normally. ISP addresses do not rotate at all, which is the reason to buy them.
Choosing the type for a Czech target
The usual order, with the fork at the end.
- Start with a Czech datacenter address: $1.15 per address per month.
- A 403 on the first request means hosting ranges are filtered.
- What decides next is session length. One-off wide-coverage passes are residential. Work where the address must not change for weeks is ISP at $1.90 per month.
- When in doubt, count gigabytes. Above two gigabytes a month on a single session, ISP is already cheaper.
- A 429 after many requests is a per-address rate limit: more addresses, not a different type.
What Czech sites check beyond the address
A Czech address opens the first gate; language and number parsing decide the rest.
Send cs-CZ. The larger platforms also operate in Slovakia, and an sk-SK header takes you to the Slovak version with a different range and a different currency.
The currency is the koruna, and the number format breaks parsers more often than anything else in the region: 1 299,90 Kč, where the thousands separator is a non-breaking space rather than an ordinary one. Code that splits on an ASCII space will not find that price at all.
There is one time zone, CET, and it shifts in summer. Configure the profile to it rather than to UTC.
Consent banners are mandatory and cover the content: a scraper that does not handle them captures an empty page under a successful status code.
What a month of Czech work costs
Three scenarios at our prices, so you have something to check a quote against.
- Price monitoring across Czech retail, 25,000 listings a day with images blocked, roughly 100 KB per page. That is about 2.5 GB a day, around 75 GB a month: $75 on residential.
- Collecting positions in two search engines doubles the number of requests but not the per-gigabyte price: result pages are light, and this is single-digit gigabytes on the invoice.
- Five ISP addresses for long sessions cost $9.50 a month with traffic unmetered. This is the case where a static address is several times cheaper than residential.
The legal part, stated plainly
Czechia is in the European Union, so GDPR applies here with everything that follows for collecting personal data. A Czech address neither puts you under it nor takes you out: what matters is whose data you collect, not where the traffic exits.
