Albania proxies
Our catalogue lists all twelve counties, 27 city records and 43 networks for Albania. That is many networks for a country this size, and nearly all of them sit in one place: Tirana holds 27 out of 43, and eighteen of them exist only there. Vodafone, the only mobile carrier in the pool, is present in seven cities, Abissnet in four, and then come dozens of local providers with one or two cities each, including a network registered to a private individual. Of 24 well known Albanian sites we checked from Europe, 20 are open, and the closed ones are MerrJep, Abissnet and Gazeta Tema.
What we have in Albania
The price is the same as in every other country we cover.
What Albanian addresses get used for
Classifieds
MerrJep, Njoftime: MerrJep serves a foreigner a holding page with status 503, Njoftime is open.
Retail and electronics
Neptun, Spar, Gjirafa50: open, the address is for lek prices and the Albanian assortment.
Banks and payments
BKT, Raiffeisen, Credins, EasyPay: Credins does not accept a connection from outside, the rest is open.
Government services and taxes
e-Albania, Tatime: open, the dashboards expect an Albanian ID.
Ad verification and search results
Top Channel, Balkanweb, Shqiptarja, Euronews Albania, google.al: Gazeta Tema sits behind a Cloudflare challenge.
What looks different from outside Albania
Of 24 sites we checked, 20 opened on the first request. Three refused, one did not accept the connection. We sell addresses rather than a way past detection.
What a residential address gives you here
Cities people ask for here
A city is set with the _city_ suffix. The number beside it is how many networks our pool holds there.
The setups people take here most often
- 01Residential plus TiranaTwenty seven networks and the only real rotation across autonomous systems
- 02Residential with Vodafone pinnedSeven cities on the only mobile carrier in the pool
- 03Residential plus Durres or FierFive networks each, for when the target looks at the county
- 04A one hour sticky sessionFor banks, e-Albania and dashboards
Connection strings for Albania
The country is pinned with a suffix in the login. Host, port and password stay the same as for any other country.
A city goes in as a second suffix. Without it you most often get Tirana, which is right for most jobs. Durres, Fier and Shkoder are for when the target looks at the county.
Albanian exits, four ways
# rotating, a new address per request
curl -x login_c_AL:password@proxy.sotaproxy.com:10000 https://api.ipify.org
# sticky, the same address for an hour
curl -x login_c_AL_s_7_ttl_1h:password@proxy.sotaproxy.com:10000 https://api.ipify.org
# pinned to Tirana, twenty seven networks
curl -x login_c_AL_city_Tirana:password@proxy.sotaproxy.com:10000 https://api.ipify.org
# SOCKS5 on the same port: the scheme picks the protocol, not the number
curl -x socks5h://login_c_AL:password@proxy.sotaproxy.com:10000 https://api.ipify.orgTirana holds 27 networks out of 43
No single network holds Albania. The widest, Vodafone, is present in seven cities out of 26: Tirana, Shkoder, Gjirokaster, Fier, Elbasan, Gramsh, Sarande. Abissnet in four, Fastnet, IBC, Newave, Nisatel and the Albanian Telecommunications Union in three each. The second mobile carrier, One Albania, is not in the pool.
All the depth is in Tirana: 27 networks, eighteen of them only there, from Tibo and Albanian Fiber to Pronet and Vista. Durres and Fier hold five each, Shkoder four, Korce three. In 16 cities out of 26 exactly one network is available, and most often it is a small local provider: Vani in Burrel, Korabi-Net in Peshkopi, IH-NET in Bajram Curri.
Two things are worth knowing. Starlink is present in Tirana and Kukes, and its addresses geolocate loosely. One network in the catalogue is registered to a private individual, Gezim Cerri, in Tirana and Peqin: an address on it looks like a home, but behind it is one person rather than a carrier. Fastnet and Digicom appear under two names each, so by unique company the count is about forty.
Twenty sites out of 24 are open
We checked 24 well known Albanian domains from Europe with a full browser header set, on 16 October 2026. Twenty opened: Njoftime, Neptun, Spar, Gjirafa50, EasyPay, the BKT and Raiffeisen banks, the Bank of Albania, e-Albania, the Tatime tax office, the Tirana municipality, Air Albania, the Vodafone and One carriers, Tring, DigitAlb, and the Top Channel, Balkanweb, Shqiptarja and Euronews Albania outlets.
Four did not. MerrJep, the country’s main classifieds site, served a holding page with status 503. Abissnet and Gazeta Tema met the request with a Cloudflare challenge and answered 403. Credins Bank did not accept a connection on port 443 at all. That is protection against automation and network filtering rather than a pure country check, but for MerrJep an Albanian address is needed anyway: listings and prices there are tied to the local market.
The practical conclusion: retail, banks, government services and publishers are open from outside, and an address there is for local conditions. MerrJep, the main Albanian scenario, is closed, and there residential is the only option.
What Albanian sites check beyond the address
The language is Albanian, and Raiffeisen served a foreign address its Albanian edition by default. Banks and carriers have English versions. One pass, sometimes two.
The currency is the lek, ALL, written L or Lek. Property and some electronics are often priced in euros, food and services in lek. A dot or a space for thousands and a comma for the fraction.
The time zone is UTC+1 with daylight saving, as in the European Union. The weekend is Saturday and Sunday.
How stable the exits are here
In Tirana there is plenty to switch to and sessions hold. In Durres, Fier and Shkoder the margin is small, and in the other cities there is one network and no rotation inside the city.
On size, plainly: 43 networks by name, about forty unique, one mobile carrier. Plan your load against Tirana and pin Vodafone if the target expects a mobile carrier.
Choosing the setup for an Albanian target
The short fork.
- You need rotation across autonomous systems: Tirana unpinned, 27 networks.
- You need a mobile carrier: Vodafone, seven cities.
- You need a county: Durres or Fier with five networks each, the rest selectively.
- The target is closed from outside: country level, which is MerrJep, Abissnet, Gazeta Tema.
- You need a bank or e-Albania dashboard: a one hour sticky session and an Albanian ID.
What a month of Albanian work costs
It is counted in traffic. A dollar per gigabyte.
- Price monitoring across Neptun and Gjirafa50, 20,000 listings a day with images blocked, roughly 110 KB per page: about 2.2 GB a day, around 66 GB a month, $66 on residential.
- A daily sweep of one MerrJep category: tens of gigabytes.
- Ad verification, 200 placements a day at about 400 KB each: under 2.5 GB a month.
The legal part, stated plainly
Albania has a personal data protection law, renewed in 2024 along GDPR lines, supervised by the Commissioner for the Right to Information and Personal Data Protection. Collecting publicly posted prices and processing personal data are different things, and the second is regulated separately.
Communications are regulated by AKEP. A proxy changes none of what you are allowed to do with data. It changes only which country the request appears to come from.
This is general information rather than legal advice. Our terms require lawful use and we act on abuse reports.
Verifying an Albanian exit
Under a minute. The third command shows whether MerrJep serves a page instead of the holding page: a foreign address got a 503.
Three checks
# 1. is the exit Albanian, and on which network
curl -s -x login_c_AL_city_Tirana:password@proxy.sotaproxy.com:10000 https://ipinfo.io/json
# 2. does a sticky session hold the same address
for i in 1 2 3; do curl -s -x login_c_AL_s_7_ttl_1h:password@proxy.sotaproxy.com:10000 https://api.ipify.org; echo; done
# 3. does MerrJep serve a page through the exit
curl -s -x login_c_AL:password@proxy.sotaproxy.com:10000 -o /dev/null -w "%{http_code}\n" https://www.merrjep.al/What to read next
Where the numbers come from
The numbers on counties, cities and networks come from our residential pool catalogue as of 16 October 2026. Service entries with no city name are not counted. We ran the check on 24 Albanian domains ourselves from Europe on the same day, with a full browser header set and a 45 second limit per answer.
- AKEP, the Albanian communications regulatorOfficial carrier and provider data, if you want to check the shape of the market against our pool.
- Vodafone AlbaniaThe widest network in our Albanian pool and the only mobile carrier in it: seven cities.
- Commissioner for Personal Data ProtectionThe supervisor of the personal data protection law.
- NjoftimeA classifieds site open from outside without an address, unlike MerrJep.
Questions people ask before buying Albanian addresses
Where is the deepest pool?
Tirana: 27 networks out of 43, eighteen of them only there. Durres and Fier hold five each, Shkoder four. In 16 cities out of 26 there is exactly one network.
Are there mobile carriers in the pool?
One, Vodafone, in seven cities. One Albania is not in the pool. If the target expects One specifically, Albania from us will not cover it.
Do Albanian sites block foreigners?
Hardly. Of the 24 we checked, 20 opened. MerrJep served a holding page with status 503, Abissnet and Gazeta Tema sit behind a Cloudflare challenge, Credins did not accept the connection.
Why does the address look like a private individual?
Because one network in the catalogue is registered to a person rather than a company, in Tirana and Peqin. To a platform it is a home address, but there is no rotation inside such a network. Pin Vodafone or Abissnet if the look matters.
Do Albanian addresses cost more?
No. The price is the same everywhere: residential from $1.00 per GB.
