Connection strings for North Macedonia

The country is pinned with a suffix in the login. Host, port and password stay the same as for any other country.

A city goes in as a second suffix. Without it you most often get Skopje, which is right for most jobs. Bitola, Tetovo and Ohrid are for when the target looks at the region.

Macedonian exits, four ways

Four networks cover the country

Makedonski Telekom is present in 26 cities out of 41 and is the only network in 16 of them. A1 Makedonija in fourteen, Telekabel in twelve, Neotel in eleven. That is four nationwide networks for a small country, and we have such even coverage almost nowhere else: in most countries of the catalogue a sharp drop follows the first one or two networks.

Both of the country’s mobile carriers, Telekom and A1, are in the pool. Telekabel and Neotel are cable and fibre providers, and an address on them looks like a home fixed-line subscriber.

Then Multimedia-net in four cities, Inel in three, and twelve networks in exactly one: PET NET and Spider in Gevgelija, KDS Kabelnet in Prilep, Signal NET in Kumanovo, novatel in Novo Selo.

Skopje holds ten networks, but not everything

Skopje is ten networks out of 20, but only three of them exist exclusively there. Kumanovo holds six, Bitola and Tetovo five each, Prilep and Negotino four, Ohrid, Struga, Gevgelija and Veles three.

The catalogue uses municipalities as regions, which is why it has 42 region records for 41 cities, and some of the “cities” are villages of the municipalities around Skopje: Batinci, Ljubanci, Trubarevo, Cresevo. In 22 cities out of 41 exactly one network is available, and most often it is Makedonski Telekom.

For a job that means: North Macedonia can be taken at country level with a pinned carrier for an even home look across all cities. Skopje is for when you need rotation across providers.

Nineteen sites out of 25 are open

We checked 25 well known Macedonian domains from Europe with a full browser header set, on 16 October 2026. Nineteen opened: Pazar3, Neptun, Setec, Tinex, Vero, the Telekom and A1 carriers, the Komercijalna, Stopanska, NLB and Halkbank banks, the UJP tax office, the Skopje city hall, the airport, and the Telma, SDK, A1on, 360 stepeni and Time.mk outlets.

Five refused. Sitel answered “forbidden by administrative rules”, a direct country filter. Kanal 5 answered with a Cloudflare block page on the address. Reklama5, Anhoch and the National Bank met the request with a Cloudflare challenge. The government services portal served a notice from the Ministry of Digital Transformation with status 503.

The practical conclusion: Pazar3 classifieds, retail, banks and most outlets are open from outside, and an address there is for local conditions. The two main TV channels, Reklama5 and Anhoch are closed, and there a Macedonian address is for access.

What Macedonian sites check beyond the address

The language is Macedonian in Cyrillic, Albanian in the western municipalities, and banks and carriers have English versions. For collecting search results that is one pass, sometimes two.

The currency is the denar, MKD, written ден. The euro rate is practically fixed, and prices for large purchases are often shown in euros too. A dot for thousands and a comma for the fraction.

The time zone is UTC+1 with daylight saving, as in the European Union. The weekend is Saturday and Sunday.

How stable the exits are here

In Skopje, Kumanovo, Bitola and Tetovo there is something to switch to and sessions hold. In 22 cities out of 41 there is one network, and no rotation inside the city.

On size, plainly: 20 networks, four of them nationwide. Plan your load against a pinned carrier across the country; that works better here than in most countries of the catalogue.

Choosing the setup for a Macedonian target

The short fork.

  • You need an even home look across the country: Makedonski Telekom pinned, 26 cities.
  • You need a mobile carrier: Telekom or A1, both in the pool.
  • You need rotation across providers: Skopje, ten networks.
  • The target is closed from outside: country level, which is Sitel, Kanal 5, Reklama5, Anhoch.
  • You need a bank dashboard: a one hour sticky session, one session per account.

What a month of Macedonian work costs

It is counted in traffic. A dollar per gigabyte.

  • Price monitoring across Neptun and Setec, 20,000 listings a day with images blocked, roughly 110 KB per page: about 2.2 GB a day, around 66 GB a month, $66 on residential.
  • A daily sweep of one Pazar3 category: a few gigabytes.
  • Ad verification, 200 placements a day at about 400 KB each: under 2.5 GB a month.

The legal part, stated plainly

North Macedonia has a personal data protection law from 2020, written along GDPR lines, supervised by the Personal Data Protection Agency. Collecting publicly posted prices and processing personal data are different things, and the second is regulated separately.

Communications are regulated by AEK. A proxy changes none of what you are allowed to do with data. It changes only which country the request appears to come from.

This is general information rather than legal advice. Our terms require lawful use and we act on abuse reports.

Verifying a Macedonian exit

Under a minute. The third command shows whether Sitel opens through the exit: a foreign address got “forbidden by administrative rules”.

Three checks

# 1. is the exit Macedonian, and on which network
curl -s -x login_c_MK_city_Skopje:password@proxy.sotaproxy.com:10000 https://ipinfo.io/json

# 2. does a sticky session hold the same address
for i in 1 2 3; do curl -s -x login_c_MK_s_7_ttl_1h:password@proxy.sotaproxy.com:10000 https://api.ipify.org; echo; done

# 3. does the country-filtered channel open through the exit
curl -s -x login_c_MK:password@proxy.sotaproxy.com:10000 -o /dev/null -w "%{http_code}\n" https://sitel.com.mk/

Where the numbers come from

The numbers on municipalities, cities and networks come from our residential pool catalogue as of 16 October 2026. Service entries with no city name are not counted. We ran the check on 25 Macedonian domains ourselves from Europe on the same day, with a full browser header set and a 45 second limit per answer.

Questions people ask before buying Macedonian addresses

Are Telekom and A1 in the pool?

Yes, both: Makedonski Telekom in 26 cities out of 41, A1 in fourteen. Plus the cable Telekabel and Neotel in twelve and eleven. Four nationwide networks for one country is rare.

Where is the deepest pool?

Skopje, ten networks, but only three of them exist exclusively there. Kumanovo holds six, Bitola and Tetovo five each. In 22 cities out of 41 there is exactly one network.

Do Macedonian sites block foreigners?

Some do. Of the 25 we checked, Sitel answered “forbidden by administrative rules”, Kanal 5 a Cloudflare block, and Reklama5, Anhoch and the National Bank a challenge. Pazar3, retail, banks and the other outlets are open.

Why does the catalogue list 42 regions for such a small country?

Because it uses municipalities as regions, and some records are villages of the municipalities around Skopje. There are about ten real cities with a choice of networks.

Do Macedonian addresses cost more?

No. The price is the same everywhere: residential from $1.00 per GB.
